About Point North

Point North was established in 1974 to supply fabrics and accessories by Mail Order. Since then it has expanded to offer we hope most of things needed to undertake small and large sewing projects.

All the fabrics, with the possible exception of CI2 (Duck canvas) and P16 (PVC coated fabric), can be sewn on most domestic sewing machines, and some modern machines will also accept these heavier materials. Machines that allow easy adjustment of the bottom tension are best.

When using heavy fabrics do not allow the fabric to drag - position extra tables to the sides and in front of the machine so that the fabric can flow better.
