Excel 2.5mm is manufactured using the ultimate Dyneema - SK99. It is characterised by it's very high strength, light weight, and low stretch making it an ideal rope for the replacement of steel wire. Strength for strength, this is 8 times lighter than an equivalent steel wire rope and exhibits none of the drawbacks with steel such as corrosion.
This also has Marlow's ArmourCoat coating as standard which increases abrasion resistance.
